Lynda Boudreault, Ph.D. is a documentary linguist and writer. Her linguistic research has centered on Nɨntajɨy (Sierra Popoluca), a Mixe-Zoquean language spoken in Veracruz, Mexico. She has also participated in the documentation of Iquito, a Zaparoan language spoken in the lower Amazon basin of Peru. The personal stories that drive language documentation for speakers, as well as researchers, have always interested her. These days, Lynda focuses on the narratives of speakers and writes about language research from their perspective. When she’s not immersed in language research and writing, she enjoys teaching the magic of science through gardening to grade schoolers and spending time in the woods with her family.
